FŌCUS

HOW CAN YOU FOCUS IN A WORLD OF DISTRACTIONS?

HONE YOUR ATTENTION

Founded on hard data, these rigorously tested techniques reduce distraction, develop concentration, and hone attentional focus.

stay on task

work efficiently

engage fully

communicate effectively

train your attention for an age of distraction

Like reps in the gym, these exercises "flex" the facility of attention, with  periods of concentration followed by moments of rest. This is a classic "tighten tight and loosen loose" technique, where in this case the two are alternated throughout the session.

Recent research demonstrates that training in states of arousal are the most conducive to "phasic alertness", which produces immediate boosts in performance on attentional tasks. Concentration is deepened and lengthened when we are engaged by and interested in a focal object.

If you've spent time with children, you likely have been amazed by how they can become completely immersed in imaginary worlds of play, sometimes for hours. We naturally stay focused when we're really into what we're doing.

FŌCUS relies on imagination, visualization, and creative thinking to inspire the mind and stimulate the natural physiology of attention, which makes concentration effortless.
